Our Story

The Velvet Ravyn was born from a love of creativity, a restless spirit, and the feeling that something different was missing from the fashion scene in the South.

Before The Velvet Ravyn, Hannah Carver owned and operated Serendipity Scents, a handmade candle, soap, and fragrance business. She spent years traveling from festival to festival and hosting pop-up shops — meeting people, building community, and learning what it really means to chase a dream on the road. But over time, she felt a pull toward something more. She loved fashion. She loved self-expression. And she wanted to build a store that went beyond scents — something that felt like home for people who never quite fit the mold.

So she and her husband, Bryce, started sketching out a new idea together.

In the South, edgy, alternative, and boho fashion is often overlooked. If you want pieces with attitude, mood, and soul, you usually have to travel to bigger cities to find them. We didn’t want that anymore. We wanted to create a boutique that brought those styles right here — a space for the misfits, the dreamers, the bold, and the beautifully different.

That vision became The Velvet Ravyn.

Not just a boutique, but a curated closet for every mood — dark one day, free-spirited the next, rebellious always. A place where edge lives comfortably beside softness, where moody meets eclectic, and where your style never has to be boxed in.

The Velvet Ravyn has edge.
It’s moody.
It’s eclectic.

And it’s for every soul that was never meant to blend in.
